Last Saturday we took a road trip up Nort’ to Wisconsin so I could finally meet John’s cousins on his dad’s side. We’ve been together for three years and this had yet to happen. The most ridiculous part thing about it is they actually live the closest to us out of all his family. That’s just nuts. John’s cousin Tammy hosted and Lily and I also got to meet her children Charlie (3) and Sophie (20 months), his Uncle Fred, Aunt Mary, cousin Monica, and her son Auggie (3). Like most good Wisconsin men Tammy’s husband, Ben, was ice fishing so we will have to meet him the next time we visit.
I did take the camera, but I must have been having a really bad day as most of the photos turned out awful. Here’s the best of the bunch.

See what I mean about awful?!!

Auggie – I wish I had this kid’s energy!

They also had gifts for us! So nice to visit and get gifts. Mary made us a beautiful afghan and Tammy gave us a cool vase/candle holder for our wedding (which was in November of 2005! )
Lily wasn’t left out of the gift giving either. Mary’s gift, it’s a good snuggle size.
We had a great visit. Monica and her husband own a bakery so we got a quick tour at the end of our day and she sent us home with some yummies. No photos of those as they were eaten right quick! I don’t know why it took this long, but we’re excited to see them again soon and I think Lily will have a great time growing up with a girl cousin so close in age!
